VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Mobile Pet Adoptions

Help at the Ranch

Coordinators
and Promotional Work

Mobile Pet Adoptions (MPAs) are held on some weekends in Santa Clarita and Calabasas.  Volunteers are assigned one dog or puppy to handle during the adoption. They inform the public about our organization, our Lend a Paw program and help educate them on responsible pet ownership.

NLOL is run with a bare minimum staff. As such, we are in constant need of help at our 13 acre Ranch. Walking dogs, feeding, socializing/playing, cleaning, administrative duties, and more are ways you can directly help the organization so they we can continue focusing on rescuing more dogs.

We need coordinators for a number of duties, including Mobile Pet Adoptions, Fundraising Events, Volunteers, and more. In addition, we can always use help with web site programming, maintaining our Facebook page and other promotional items.

Lend a Paw

Fostering

Fundraising and
Special Events

Although all volunteers will receive training prior to handling any animals, volunteers that show an interest and have the skills needed, may be invited to join our Lend a Paw Training Team.

Lend a Paw Trainers educate dogs on basic commands, socialization,  advanced training (off-leash), and environmental training.  Lend a Paw Trainers must attend a weekly training seminar and commit to training a dog at least once a week at our E.R.A. Center.

Becoming a foster parent is a great way to get directly involved in rescue work. Our dogs benefit from a home environment and the personal care, attention and training given by the foster parent is invaluable. There are foster opportunities for:

  • Puppy Raising

  • Shelter Rescue Fostering

  • Lend a Paw Fostering

As a non-profit corporation, New Leash On Life relies upon donations from private individuals and corporations.   Assistance is always needed in ongoing fundraising projects. Some of these projects include:
